Sandblaster / Painter The Sandblaster/Painter is responsible for preparing parts and equipment for painting and protective coating, including performing sandblasting and surface preparation to ensure quality finishes. This position reports to the Production Manager and is based at our Mitsue Industrial Site in Slave Lake, Alberta. As part of our hiring process, successful candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment screening, which will include drug and alcohol testing as well as a background check. Perform daily hazard assessments and equipment checks. Order and track required material and supplies to maintain an effective, functional body shop. To minimize waste, review items to be repaired, prepare or review repair cost estimates, and plan the work to be performed. Sand body areas to be painted. Prime and paint repaired surface. Clean and maintain all body shop equipment to keep it in good reliable working condition. Accurately completes all required paperwork and permits. Sandblast parts and equipment to required specifications. Communicate any deficiencies and safety concerns to the Production Manager.
