This checks whether you take an active, structured approach to growth rather than just passively absorbing whatever experience comes your way.

What a strong answer covers

• The specific skill and why you identified it as a gap — ideally from real feedback or a real situation that exposed it, not an abstract self-assessment
• The actual plan you followed — specific practice, not just "I tried to be better at it"
• How you measured whether it was working
• Concrete evidence the skill genuinely improved, ideally something observable by others, not just your own self-assessment

Common pitfalls

• A skill so generic ("communication") with no specific plan or evidence of improvement
• No external validation — purely self-reported improvement is a weaker signal than someone else noticing the change
