Message Center Operator

Amentum is seeking a Message Center Operator to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission in Andros Island, Bahamas . AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments. The Message Center Operator is responsible for maintaining strict accountability for Local Element CMS/EKMS and other associated classified materials, records, and equipment in the Communications Message Center. They will also be responsible for receiving, processing, and distributing incoming and outgoing Naval and civilian message traffic for the AUTEC project. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance. Responsibilities: Proficiency in loading classified material utilizing electronic devices and adherence to stringent COMSEC procedures. Monitor communications circuits during real-time test operations and initiates action to rectify circuit outages. Monitor all circuits for ACC when ACC is not staffed. Report equipment malfunctions to appropriate technical and management personnel. Maintain and establish radio and telephone communications as required including adherence to proper procedures and record keeping. Maintain a detailed daily official record of tasks/duties/events accomplished or observed in the Communications Message Center. Perform other duties as assigned, required or directed. Qualifications: High school graduate/equivalent or better. 3-5 years related experience working in a communications computer media environment. Military Message Center/EKMS experience desired and preferred. Ability to pass Message Center Communications Qualifications requirements within 60 days of hire.
