To strengthen our Engineering Department, we are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer (f/m/d) Cologne (hybrid) or Berlin (remote) | Permanent Contract (Full-time) Join our Legal Tech Services Team, part of the Business Domain, where we build products that help online businesses stay legally compliant and protected. Our solutions provide legal texts, compliance services, and expert support that enable thousands of online shops to operate with confidence. As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and operating secure and scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS. Working closely with software engineers, a Product Manager, and an Agile Coach, you will help shape our cloud platform, enable development teams through automation and Infrastructure as Code, and contribute to a reliable, observable, and cost-efficient cloud environment. Responsibilities Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS. Contribute to the introduction, deployment, and operation of new services and infrastructure capabilities across their lifecycle. Build and maintain reusable Infrastructure-as-Code components with Terraform and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling, primarily based on CircleCI. Help establish and evolve standards for monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability to ensure reliable and efficient operations. What Will Your Role Be In the Platform Engineering team, you will build the next generation of the internal developer platform behind Spread Group's core services - a cloud-native platform on AWS, designed from the ground up. We see our platform as a product and our developers as our customers. This is a greenfield build with real design freedom: you shape the architecture, the golden paths and the self-service capabilities - not just keep existing systems running. Your platform will serve roughly 175 services from 13 product teams in our European and North American regions. Today they run on more than a dozen Kubernetes clusters with around 280 nodes and 4,000 running pods - migrating them step by step onto the new platform while everything keeps running is a core part of the mission.
