Located near our Design Center, the facility plays an important role in how we prototype, test, refine and manufacture the technical gear we are known for. Some of our most technically complex products including Alpha SV and new product pilots are built here. The facility also supports ReBIRD repair and renewal programs, helping extend the life of Arc’teryx gear. For our ever-growing operation, we are looking for Press Machine Operators to join our teams. After 3 months of training in our Training Department you will be assigned to one of our production lines. Developing your skills is our priority. Thanks to our continuing Learning & Development Program you will acquire new skills on new products (eg: jackets, pants, or gear) . And it doesn't end there, you will have the opportunity to move up and why not, join our Warranty, Sample, Quality, Training Teams or become one of our future Team Leaders. This role is a full-time permanent (Monday - Friday) position located in New Westminster (Queensborough area). About Strescon Established in 1963, Strescon Limited has grown to become the largest precast, pre-stressed concrete manufacturer in Eastern Canada. Its primary market covers the Atlantic Provinces, the New England region of the United States, and Bermuda. Strescon manufactures a wide range of both architectural and structural precast/prestressed concrete products including bridge girders, wall panels, complete parking garages, hollow-core planking, piling and deck slabs. Strescon presently has two facilities: 70,000 sq. ft. in Saint John, New Brunswick and 50,000 sq. ft. In Bedford, Nova Scotia. In addition to our engineered precast facilities for custom components, Strescon also operates a 32,000 sq. ft. facility in Saint John which manufactures standard concrete products for engineered drainage systems, such as pipe, manholes and catch basins. Job Summary In partnership with the estimating team and in collaboration with various departments, the Estimator position is responsible for gathering and evaluating proposals, shop drawings, specifications (excel, Tekla, etc.), and related documents to prepare estimates. The Estimator computes costs by analyzing labor, materials, equipment, subcontracted work as well as timeline requirements. As the Estimator, the ideal candidate must be able to read architectural, structural, precast shop drawings, specifications, navigate software, be detailed, and focused on the task at hand while managing priorities and deadlines. In general, this is a position where guidelines, structure, and established procedures must be followed closely. The position is located at the Saint John office and supports operations in both Saint John and Bedford.
