POSITION SUMMARY: The Payroll Specialist will serve as the lead for all payroll functions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Input and validate payroll on an accurate and timely basis, based on company policy and guidelines. Maintains payroll information by designing systems; and collecting, calculating, and entering data. Ensure systems are set up and updated to reflect our current employee base, including wages, benefits, sick and vacation time. Prepare and maintain relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (i.e. gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, NIB deductions, benefit deductions, etc.). Additionally, develop and prepare requested payroll reports and compensation studies for CFO, HR and President as requested. Prepare all payroll-related reports. Determines payroll liabilities by calculating NIB deductions, insurance deductions, submission of workerâs compensation payments, etc. Handle all Accounts Payable responsibilities related to compensation, benefit programs, incentives, rewards, etc. Timely and accurately follow Corporate-directed protocols for period/year-end. Maintains payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures. Complies with local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Administer the Companyâs Paid Time Off policies, including employee time off accruals. Administer timekeeping program, including user maintenance, colleague enrollment, technical support, problem solving and manager training/support. Roll-out and administer payroll compensation or incentive programs as required. Assist Sales department in the administration of the Sales Consultants Compensation program. Identify areas requiring process improvement and escalate to internal leadership. Assist employees and managers with payroll-related questions.
