The school aims to serve 250 students year one, with plans to grow to over 1,000 students by 2030. 🚀 Role Summary The Academic Dean leads the instructional team and is the school's authority on academic standards at MiaPrep Online Academy of Ohio (MOAO), including student conduct, attendance compliance, and academic integrity. This person is the primary leader for teacher supervision and development, oversees academic data and testing coordination, and works closely with the Student Support team (counselors and advisors), who lead student interventions and support. As a member of the MOAO leadership team, the Academic Dean contributes to schoolwide strategy and helps keep instruction, student culture, and compliance with Ohio requirements working together. The role calls for someone who can coach teachers with warmth and rigor, handle sensitive student and family situations with sound judgment, and use data to make decisions. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Instructional Staff Management Directly supervise instructional staff, holding weekly 1:1s focused on coaching, support, and goal setting. Lead recruiting, onboarding, and training for new teachers. Observe live instruction and office hours on a bi-weekly basis and provide actionable feedback.
