Estimator We are seeking a detail-orientated and analytical Estimator with a passion for construction to join our team. Overview Working alongside the Senior Estimator, the ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for a wide variety of commercial construction projects. Candidates must have a building background with extensive knowledge of all aspects of refurbishment and commercial construction across numerous sectors. This role requires a strong understanding of cost control and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. The Estimator will work closely with project managers, engineers and other sub-contractors, and play a crucial role in ensuring our bids are technically accurate, timely and competitive. Min 3 years experience in an estimating role. Full driving licence and the ability to travel when required is essential. Duties Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, subcontractors, labour and pre - lims from tenders, drawings and client briefs. Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal design/production teams Ensure our tenders are cost-effective and meet budget targets Assess site constraints (levels, drainage, access, services, etc) Conduct thorough analysis of project specifications and drawings to identify all necessary components for accurate estimation. Conduct site surveys as required, to assess project conditions and support the tendering process.
